I think the confusion some of us that have been following this thread are having is that brgrman indicated early and often that the Nova had a supplanted real L-88 engine. I personally found this to be one of the most interesting aspects of this story.
This L-88 motor has been referred to in any number of posts in the last few days; this claim has never been disputed by either party in this transaction.
However, Stefano recently told us he was told the engine in the car is actually a ’68 L71???
Both buyer and seller have since made posts since Stefano’s revelation, with neither gentleman offering any clarification.
Might we therefore assume that this is once again a case of, “it’s an L-88…. yeah, that’s the ticket….”
Don’t leave us hanging guys; just the facts, please.
