may be able to tell something from the adhesive on them.
I had to remove them from Joel's old Motion Monte and the adhesive was some wierd stuff with a lot of grip. Also removed some about 20yrs ago from a beat up set of valve covers. The grip was like a tig weld. Amazing considering the age, the hot/cold cycles and oily conditions
