I watched this "episode" of the B-J auction with a little
emotional distance. The auction of the Shelby GT-500H put me in mind that B-J may be in damage control mode. Let's see: All the fanfare of the unveiling of the Shelby GT500H. Is this an auto auction of the SEMA show? Shelby pats Craigy-boy on the back for all his hard work, we get introduced once again to Craig's mom, Sun-glasses dude is now the president, bla-bla-bla. And what's with that ever foreboding arm folded, tight jaw glare from Craig during the auctions. Has B-J seen its crest? ![]() Perhaps I'm just looking at it with more of a critical eye, but I think all the announcers on stage were more guarded of their comments. Anybody else get that sense? ![]() Overall, how did the cars do this season? Was their nearly as much nonsense as Scotsdale? I will say this much. I saw quite a bit of negativity all over the forums after Scotsdale and I'm sure many of you did as well. I only visit a few forums, but if they were any indication of what was being written ( said ) all over the web, B-J basically got clobbered. B-j Scotsdale was the talk of the town for months following the last auction. How much bad press did they get all together? Tons I'll bet! It just seemed to get into a free-for-all mode after a while. Was it just a case of everyone piling on the winner, or more that people were now willing to vent more openly? It sort of put me in mind of what happened to Martha Stewart after the stock fiasco. Angry people came out of the wood work to pounce....... Steve`
