I've got some photos of cars I had dealings with in the early 70's, and they're interesting in that they show what gearheads of the time were doing. Wheel choices, stances, modifications and that kind of thing. Some later photos too.
Anyway, on with the show.
This first car was owned and built by the guy who ran the Shell station at Vancouver International Airport. It was the first blown street car that I had any dealings with, and it sounded wild.

I blew the photo up to try to read the gas price, but couldn't make it out. Check out the oil can display. How long has it been since we bought oil in cans?
