-----Verne has gotten across what I was trying to say. There was no 396/425 motor factory installed in a 1965 Chevelle. Only 1965 Corvettes and a very few 1965 full size Chevys got the solid-lifter motor. The Z16 1965 Chevelle motors were 375 horsepower and had hydraulic cams although they appeared visually to be exactly the same as a 425HP. I hope my post didnt come across badly. Just stating the facts........Bill S
