In 1967, an Impala SS could be had with a 6 cylinder, 327, 396, or 427.
The Impala SS427 was a separate model with a different hood and other items.
The value of this particular car would depend on which 396 it had. The low HP version in a fairly stripped car with a 4spd might not be very exciting.
There are some fairly knowledgable guys on the ImpalaSS427forum that could help you decode the trimtag and give you an idea about value. $10,000 sounds pretty high with all it needs, but that's my opinion.
There's a 69SS427 Convertible here in Alberta with the wrong motor for about that money. It has a 454 in it.
