Michigan legal stuff and from Sept '06 too...here's an interesting read!? .

Looks like lots of good stuff that makes sense too but am I wrong thinking it seems like you're legally responsible to restamp the Vin on a replacement engine? .
Re'stamper-crooks could have a hay-day w/ this one..."we had to do it...it's the law"??? .

What's anyone's take on this one...and on the good points too, not just the restamp part? .
