I need help identifying an engine that I pulled from under a shelf this weekend.
casting number = 3970014 cast date = F-29-72 deck stamp = CEA2214 Also there is a stamp on the bottom rail under the starter: V0872426. It has 1178 crank/L-2210A STD pistons/"O"rods/7173 balancer with 360 dgree timing marks. It also has a set of L-2209A pistons that the previous owner removed when the L-2210A's were installed. It also has the windage tray and oil pan. I'm think it is a replacement 302, but don't understand the "CEA2214" deck stamp. Thank you in advance for your help. ![]() Eric |
