Default Re: Paul Dehnert's Killer 1966 396/375 Chevelle!

As many of you know, Paul sold this low mile L78 Chevelle to another collector/forum member in Dallas. Paul had lost the original paperwork in the tragic Oakland fire in the early 90's that destroyed about 2,500 homes. He had copies of the window sticker and build sheet, but no original paperwork went with the car. The Chevelle was spared because it was in a warehouse away from the fire. Chris P. didn't hesitate to buy the Chevelle even though the car came with photocopies of the original paperwork, the car was so amazing that it could stand on its own. Last week during cleanup of the car, the new owner discovered another original build sheet under the front carpet and the interior trim paperwork under the rear seat. Both buyer and seller were glad that original paperwork was discovered, what a neat find. This should remind us to keep looking for that elusive paperwork, it may still exist.
