Beign an Olds nut my whole life, It's sort of a double edge sword seeing these cars "getting some love". They are in my opinion without a doubt the best looking cars of that era. That twin scooped fiberglass hood on the 70 -72 W cars can't be matched.

Those Olds 455's had killer torque, and are a blast to drive.

I think part of the performance comparison people are drawing on is that back in the day, there were not a lot of off the shelf performance enhancing parts for these cars like for the Chevy fans.

I'm not sure I want to see them selling for 6 figures (although I'd have to consider selling mine at that point). It would probably push me out of the hobby financially too. Or I'd have to be content restoring cars with lesser pedigrees.
