I believe air cleaners were the final dressing,so they wouldn't be sitting on engines early on. Added on after the carburetor,which was not put on until after the engine was assigned to a body sequence number. ... ... Interesting.. I had always assumed engines were complete carb (air cleaner)to pan, but since there are instructions in the assembly manual for carb installation, that makes sense.. ![]() Also back to the air cleaner in the nova, I was going on what I'd seen on cars, and I've never seen any L78 nova pics or cars with anything other than an open element cleaner. does anyone have any photos? ![]()
