Default 69 Camaro 140 MPH Speedo

I have a 69 140 MPH speedo that I was told was original out of a race car years ago. It also came with an original 6/8K tach and a few console gauges out of the same car. The other gauges are original but I do not know how to tell if the speedo is. The rear looks like an original part. The face is nice with some fading. The part that makes me wonder is the speedo face looks to have a vinyl type decal on top of the metal face. Is this how the 140 speedos were made in 69 since they were such low production? I will probably sell it and do not want to sell it as a likely original if it is an obvious repro.

Thanks,

Jason
