Default Re: 1978 Smokey and the Bandit Trans-Am

In my book a 'big-block' is the original Chevy Mk1V! . Like a 'small-block is the original '55-up type w/ newer Gen motors needing further specific clarification. . Chevy W-motors, Buick, Olds, Pontiac etc. are all their own unique engines as the individual Ford or Mopars are and should be identified as so. . Many refer to any B-O-P engines when unknown as big blocks, blue blocks, red-blocks, gold-blocks....here in Canada a lot of guys used to call the unknowns as 'American blocks' especially the Pontiac motors as Canadian built Pontiacs had Chevy motors and an American built model would have the Poncho motor. . Pop the hood and call it what it is as there's only one true big-block....long live the King! .
