I have Yenko Stinger Corvair # YS-100. I'm the third owner. I have met and spoken with the previous 2 owners. My car came from Yenko with the YS tag on the door pillar as YS-101. I have all papers from day 1, including the original order papers. The car is # 100 from papers and trim tag unique to the first 100 1966 Stingers. Suddenly a Stinger numbered # YS-101 appears on a list on the internet. Anyone knowing these Stingers , knows that #YS-101 does not need to be anything special.....it can be any Corvair with any trim tag. ???? My car came from Yenko with #YS-101 on it. The papers and trim tag CLEARLY show it is #YS-100. What to do about this situation. ?? I had the supposed #YS-101 owner getting ahold of me in the past.... trying to trade me a #YS-100 tag for a #YS-101 tag. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rick p.s. Also from inside sources from Yenko.........it was well known that Yenko did NOT have 100 Stingers when the SCCA came around counting heads on the 100 Stingers..........that Don did NOT have 100 Stingers and that they were switching YS tags and running them around the building to make it look like they had more than 100 Stingers.
