[ QUOTE ]
Sam, I'm quite sure that ALL the 70 Camaro SS 396's got the chrome tailpipes......and I'm pretty sure the SS-350 (L-48) did also.....but need more survivor/original pictures. ![]() ![]() [/ QUOTE ] My 72 SS 350 had chrome pipes when I bought it in 1978. The first time I replaced them I went to Baierl Chevrolet in Wexford PA and bought 3 new chrome pipes (all they had and all the counter man said they would ever have because of being discontinued), I put two on the car and saved one for future use and the hope that I could find one more. However I think the pipes I had were chrome from end to end not welded. I still have the one so I will look to see if I am correct about this. I think Gardner Exhaust makes the correct system for 70-73 with the chrome pipes.
