Default Re: Fast Class Racing

1/8 overbore? I didn't know that was possible??? It makes sense though as 4.375 stroke would seem to be soooo torquey [word?] that it would never hook up. Do you have to sleeve a block to get to .125 over?
Wow.. that would the best of both worlds.. 511 cu in with only 4.25 stroke. That's a big dog!

And just to remind everybody, 4.250 stroke is the standard stroke of a Pontiac or Olds 455 and I believe the Buick 455 was behind @ 4.312 So stroking a 454 chevy [4.00'']1/4+ [.250]ONLY brings it to BOP's standard stroke....

I do remember a 70 LT1 Vette I used to own always hooked verry hard but that was with...about half the horsepower [360 / 700 ?] am I close Wayne?

BTW I don't believe the 'Rev Kits' you guys refer to address the weakness of the exhaust bosses vs. GIANT spring pressure of a modern roller cam.
