Default 409 turbo torque

i have ask this question on other boards but still have not found the answer. why was the 409 engine labeled as a turbo fire(1962-1965)? in the 1962 shop manual it is listed as 409 turbo torque and super turbo torque (380/409 horsepower accordingly). all other turbo fire applications are for carburated small blocks. also was the Z11 427 also a turbo fire?396/425blr
