I can't tell from the picture, but you have to push the *hub* type deal down to see the snap ring...we have a large "U" shaped tool that goes over the top of the shaft itself and pushes down on the outer edges of the hub thingy as you tighten it...you won't be able to push it down by hand, so you're gonna have to figure something out. I've seen Mo pin a big screwdriver against his chest to hold the hub down long enough to get the snap ring out, but he's 6'5 & 300...so I use a tool. Pop into a local parts store and look at a Hayes manual for any 60s/70s/80s Chevrolet...they're all about the same.
