Verry good question! My 68 Camaro l78 488 m22 was ordered with the 4 core rad
right on the original bill of sale. I also talked to the original owner of the car extensively and he told me it was not installed at the dealership as a matter of fact he told me he was waiting for the car at the dealership when it came in on the truck. I know that many people are of the opinnion that no L78 camaros without air came with 3 core rads. This camaro is different for some reason. The original owner was working for GM as a automotive enjineer and was on the team that was developing the NASCAR mark 4 enjine. He also was and still is a well known drag racer in Windsor ONtario and a high performance enjine builder in that area. That may of had something to do with the car having the 4 core rad installed on the car from the factory. This car has a rich history of drag racing all of its life. I am curently restoring it to what it was when it was drag racing with a 427 425 hp enine. the original owner held the class record holder at the Detroit Drag strip and raced with some of the greats of drag racing back then. and I am trying to get a copy of the Track Award Certificate as he will not part with the original. And this car is a GM documented l78 m22 488's car with the original bill of sale. suprss70 |
