Car was located near Cedar Falls, Iowa, where it had been parked in dry storage for well over 25 years. It was purchased from the original owner just ONE day prior to SCR! And if that isn't cool enough, Steve brought him along to SCR to tell the story of buying the car, and answered any questions we could throw at him... A super cool guy willing to share the history of his car with us. He described how he began his search for a high performance car early in 1971 (yes 1971!) and visited several other well known hi-performance dealers before locating this car at Dale, still sitting on the lot in April of 71. He said there were also TWO other Deuces on the lot at the time, one in Cranberry Red and one in Sunflower Yellow. (Take note which color he picked.

) It was interesting to hear about how many other people have tried to buy the car from him for next to nothing over the years. He also told of how close he came to having the car repainted/taken apart in the early 90's, going so far as to order a new set of Yenko stripes for it (which are still in the trunk!) Luckily, the person he was going to have do the work advised him to let the car remain in its original, unrestored "survivor" condition. I have many more photos of this amazing car if anyone is interested. Aside from a handful of truly "Day-2" mods including traction bars, mag wheels, and headers, the car is original and unmolested. It retains its original numbers matching engine, M21 transmission, and rear axle. Virtually anything that was ever replaced on the car was saved and stashed away, including the original distributor, smog system, and fuel pump. All components, sheet metal, glass, interior, etc. are original. The car currently has just over 22,000 documented miles! IMO, this car alone was worth the trip to SCR. Congrats LV....
