My father bought a 1968 camaro SS396 with 50,000 miles on it in 1985.the car had been in storage since 1975.he paid $3,000.00 for it, and a 1967 camaro convertible.the reason I mention the price is this isn't a restamped engine to make some extra money.The guy didn't know much about the car at all. The block casting date was G108 and the block and protecto plate was stamped T0709.
