You'll be glad you did it, much better access to both your motor and your engine bay - you can really get at everything standing in the bay! Keep the camera handy, take pics of everything before you remove it, and bag and tag all parts and hardware. Buy a case of beer and invite one or two buddies over for the removal and the re-install, they can help you make sure the engine moves in and out without banging into anything. Separate the trans from the bell housing and drop out the trans first, then pull off the bell housing, clutch and flywheel while the engine is swinging from the hook.
