I agree he is different,but that didn't seem to bother us around here in the past.
As long as he produced..and he did..he was Golden,and that standoffish personality of his just added to his odd mystique. He was the main reason the Bears team had a winning season last year,and then they all fell short in the SuperBowl. Rex completed more passes and did more heroics last year then most before him,and we all loved him for it. Today the radio & Tv press are calling for his head.With that deer in the headlights look,expressionless attitude,and not near as much enthusiam as Brett Favre. Now his playing ability has sunk down to match his odd personality and it seems to be backfiring on him. All are claiming it's time for a change,and he should sit on the bench and give the backups a chance,which I'm sure will happen,but I'll bet that Rex will make us or another team proud again. One year ago today,this area was Cheering the Bears 3-0 record,while denounceing the poor playing of the Chicago Cubs. What a difference a year makes.. ![]() |
