The lever usually has to go on the passenger side of the tranny tunnel so the driver can reach it. I was looking at Hasslets last year and that is were his lever is.
With the wider and longer tail housing of a Th400 you may have a problem fitting it in. sorry I just came in from Marguretas with dinner and said it all wrong. Hope that makes better sense?
