Default Re: 1967 COPO?

-------In 67 I was told that you could NOT get a 427/425 in an SS427 Impala but that it was possible to get this engine with either 4spd or T400 in any other big-body model. I know, I know, it makes absolutely no sense and further, I cant recollect any 427 documented big-bodied 67s off the top of my head. None the less I was told this by the performance sales guy at Frost Chevrolet in Wellesley Mass in 67 where I bought my 66 427/425 Corvette new. He was a very knowledgeable guy as in 69 he ordered COPO Chevelles into that dealer. I saw them being unloaded.
--------Maybe the gurus on board can shed some light on this?............Bill S

--------Thanks, You got that info in while I was pecking away. No wonder I dont recall any 427 big-bodies with only 17 supposedly built!
