I was browsing through another old magazine from eBay, as some of you know, I do this a lot. I thought that I'd share a couple of interesting pictures that I saw. First is a racing Chevy II that I had never seen before, it looks like one of the COPO 68 automatics? Does anyone know anything about this car? We all know who Dick Harrell was, but who is Jack Walker? The article that went with the picture is about ZL-1 heads, with Larry Ofria from Valley Head Service in Southern California. It's not clear whether they used the heads on this car or not, the article never mentions the car at all, it's just about head modifications.
Picture 1 Next is what appears to be a couple of guys pulling an L-78 engine out of a 69 Nova. It's just a nice picture that shows original paint spray patterns, detailing, Etc. There is no article to go with the picture, it is on the inside cover by itself. It looks like a dealer swap in progress, but I don't know where or who. Both of these pictures are from Engine hop up ideas 1970, an Argus magazine. Picture 2 |
