Looks like it came from Readers Digest,or Good Housekeeping Magazine.
I have no idea where that Camaro woud be today. But I am HUGE collector of Chevrolet Sweepstakes cars. I have promotions and similar ads to win the 1969 Camaro on the back of a Horseracing form in 1970,among others. The 1969 Friends magazine & the the 1970 Chevrolet Merchandising Catalog showed a Sweepstakes the Dealer could offer the buyers in their Showroom. They show a Young girl in a Mod miniskirt standing on a New 1969 Camaro SS in the Catalog. Super Sport SweepStakes: 1st Place:A new 69 Corvette & 69 Camaro SS/RS + 1000.00 in Cash. 2nd Place: A new 69 Impala SS 427 + 500.00 in cash. 3rd Place: A new 69 Chevelle SS + 500.00 in cash. 4th Place: A Magnavox Townsman Color TV. 5th Place: A Kodak Instamatic Camera I have the entire Referee Floor display with all the NOS folders, tickets, and stickers and window trim they displayed in the showroom.Very colorfu and big. I really do enjoy the New Car sweepstakes they all ran back then.Would love to verify the owners of any of these cars today. |
