Ron,
If I recall correctly, 159 is the date code. Many people in the know have not determined the "M" and these letters vary all over the place from what I have seen. The rest of the number is correct but it is likely you cannot make out the last digit which should be a "7". It should read 159M40727 which is the correct stamping on a "727" pump. Double check the size of the AC stampings on the side.
