Default Re: Reference to GM archives, Is it True?

If the records exist, they probably will NOT be of much value to people that have buildsheets and verifiable docs already. I would suspect if they exist at all, they might include RPO info and a VIN (sort of like GM of Canada docs) but probably will not have the engine dates included. This means the guys selling fake "models"..COPO's, L78's, LS6's will up the proverbial creek, but not the guys with factory docs already. That is why in my opinion you would be crazy to spend big money on cars with nothing more than a POP right now. I know it takes time to get the info together and out, but I keep wondering whether it is a "pipe dream," that the info will be released at all...I'm curious as to why some of the big NCRS guys were never allowed access to it earlier..they after all are the ones' mainly responsible for the level of restoration going on today, and the interest in collectible GM cars as investments.
