Default Need help/advise locating holes for SS emblems.1967 Camaro

I really need some help with this from others who have done this. I have the AIM, and the dims on page 309, but they all reference to 2 plains that are not defined or explained. There is a spec for the first hole from the leading edge of the fender, which will locate them front to rear, but I have NO idea where to measure the height from. I made a template of the hole spacing and have fitted the SS emblems to that and it is all good.....I just need to know where to put the template to drill the holes in my NOS fenders. I will be adding the nose stripe at some point and would like all this to line up correctly.
I'm wondering if the alignment plains are in a Chassis manual and they don't reference that for this manual ? I don't recall if I have the chassis manual or not.
Thanks in advance for rescuing me with this..
