Default '69 Z/28 stripes per "Legends"

Hi everyone I've been a car painter for 56 years..I restoring my '69 Z/28 Camaro..The car will be painted in the original Rallye Green with white stripes..The many I've painted in the past where lacquer jobs as the following issue was never a concern..I've also shot the base color, taped off the stripes and clearcoated over the two (car color and stripe color) at the same time..However I believe that process will be a deduction for the "Legends" review/judging..

I will use a basecoat/clearcoat process..Per the Legends book 25 pts will be deducted if the stripes are clearcoated over at the same time as the base color is cleared..So what is correct way? Basecoat/clearcoat the color which is a two- stage process..Then apply a single stage stripe color..Or use a two-stage stripe color basecoat (white in my case) then clearcoat over?

Therefore the stripes edges would be sharp and easily felt vs smoothed over if clearcoated green base and stripes are sprayed at the same time, thus kind of smoothing the sharp stripe edges?

Any thoughts?
