In 1976 i wanted a 65 or 66 Shelby mustang. They were desirable in 1976 but prices back then were way less. A working man with kids and a wife could afford cool muscle cars.
I found a 1966 GT350 FS in the LA times clasified in Oxnard Ca about 60 miles north of LA. the wife and i were the first to look at it and made a offer of 3,000.All the Shelby goodies were still on it. It needed some TLC but not much. It was white and my friend and i added the stripes. It became my car i drove to work . At the time i was a Buick tune up mechanic. I kept it for a while and sold it for the massive sum of 5,000 dollars ![]() |
