Other LOS custom interior (12667) converts made during this time frame have 4 digit body numbers. LOS used different body number sequences for coupes and converts, both standard and custom interior. Not many Custom interior converts made so thats why the lower body number later in the year.
Look at any Van Nuys 12667 tag and all the body numbers are low. The V108 is shifted down, but the whole tag is shifted like it wasnt in the holder straight. I think the tag is good. Heres a 12667 (Pace Car) tag
