Hi Gang,
SUPER RARE treat available today. This is a partial roll of original Delco SS550 / SS-550 7mm stainless bulk HiPo RACE spark plug / ignition wire. This is the correct, old school version of these wires / this wire as evidenced by the font of "DELCO" and that they are UNDATED. This is what you want for a truly original "DAY 2" look; this is what was available when these cars were still new. L88 Again, this is a partial (originally 100') roll and there was likely one set of wires made from it back in the day. I don't want to unroll the spool as the wire is original and intact. So, Mrs. Anthony knows math and told me a formula to use to estimate total length: 2ΠrxNxD r = radius of roll N = number of loops per length D = number of layers of loops I'm calculating 20 loops on the roll and 6 separate layers of loops even though it looks like there's seven on the spool, to be conservative and err on the low side: And I'm rounding pi to 3.14 of course, and varying the radius for each layer of loop rather than keep that constant, so: 2x3.14x.75"x20 = 94.2" 2x3.14x1.00"x20 = 125.6" 2x3.14x1.25"x20 = 157.0" 2x3.14x1.50"x20 = 188.4" 2x3.14x1.75"x20 = 219.8" 2x3.14x2.00"x20 = 251.2" = 1036.20" / 12 = 86.35' The above is an (educated) ESTIMATE, but I will bet there's at least 80' on this roll and will warrant that number. Enough to do at least three BBC cars conservatively and maybe even four motors, especially if you're doing a SBC engine as well. $1000 PPG shipped in the US. Cheers all, Anthony |
