I think so. I have never seen any Chevy doc stating JL8 was dropped as an option but it was, as of June. Latest car in the CRG db was produced 1st week June. AIM notation states discontinued 7-21-69.

Everyone should read Paul Van Valkenburgh's book Chevrolet=Racing? to gain a complete understanding of the JL8 option-and why it did not initially solve the severe brake fade problem the Trans-Am cars were experiencing.
