We run 4x Snow Tires w/ Steel Rims on all our 4-season vehicles and Summer rubber w/ the factory Aluminum Rims. My daily driver Snow Tires have Steel Studs, illegal here now but the car came from up North w/ the rim kit in the trunk so I've been running them three winters now...pretty grippy, especially on ice!  ~ Pete .
