I'm old school...but, sensible
We change the Berger with top quality synthetic and Wix filter...once a year. Other hotrods get a once year with high quality 10-40 or 20-50 depending on the motor...plus GM EOS in the L78 cars...again Wix fliter [actually NAPA gold] Daily driver 2004 suburban every 3-4k with whatever 5-30 is on sale and wix filter. For a daily driven car...the regular oil changes are important, because it gives you a chance to have the car on the lift and take a look at other things...we rotate tires every other oil change. Speaking of maintenance....I think my Suburban needs a new starter. I went to start it on Thursday...nothing happened. Dash lites up, battery seems fine [it is new]...a helper crawled underneath and tapped the starter as I manned the key...it then started. So, I guess the starter has a bad spot...off to NAPA soon to see what they have available. Never ends
