Pete thanks for greeting, your kline ads bring back memories. I took delivery in march of 68, it was cold and snowing the night I bought 8016, the first photos I have of that car behind my apartment show the snow around it, march in minnesota is the end of winter. Your question about non yenko, l72 camaros, is no, kline only had yenko 427 camaros. I worked at kline, in sales, in the mid 1970s, and looked at the sales records of 1967, 1968, 1969.I copied the sales records of all the 68 camaros sold. In the ads you posted, you notice that the 68 yenkos did not sell well, in some of the ads in 68 kline has advertised both 67 and 68 yenkos together, without stating the year. As far as 68 yenkos go there were no dealer trades, where they traded yenkos. the six they started with was the 6 they sold. If you know how car dealerships work, when a yenko dealership received a car from yenko in PA they already had the shipping freight from the factory to yenko chev and then from yenko chev to the yenko dealer, so the cars were double freighted, if you then traded one of those yenkos to another dealer, you would have 3 freight charges, making the car almost impossible to sell... Jay Kline son, Steve Kline was the reason the dealership had the yenkos and all the other muscle cars. kline did well in 67 on the yenkos , not so in 68. And remember on Lake Street in MPLS there were 2 yenko dealers about 3 miles apart, kline and Grossman chevrolet....Anyway the part I want to tell you is kline 1968 yenkos were 2 colors ,3 rally green, 3 island teal , for 100% sure, this will not make a few people happy I am sure...........thanks ys 8016
