Everyone has an opinion:-)

If two cars were for sale side by side identical except one was original auto with the auto, and one original auto changed to 4 speed I would pay $750 to $1,000 more for the one switched to 4 speed.

Lots of factors but this sounds like a driver and the four speed is more desirable.
