I recently picked up this 69 Camaro flat bottom cowl induction air cleaner. I have had these in the past and they were easy to ID as original since they were not reproduced. I was checking today and saw that they are reproduced now. I plan to sell this air cleaner and want to be sure it is an original part before I put it up for sale.
I am pretty certain this is an original part. It is in very good shape but does appear to have been blasted to bare metal at some point and repainted as evidenced by light pitting under the paint in areas. Are there any tell tale signs of a reproduction air cleaner compared to an original. The notch in the snorkel used to be a quick indicator but I think the latest repops have that as well.
