Is it XY40669? If so, the XY is the date code. Last time I looked into it, found a thread that decoded the first letter as the month (A= Jan, B= Feb, etc) and the second as the year (A= 61, B= 62, etc). So as an example, BI40669 would be February 69 fuel pump for a 302.
