Default Re: Sharp Oldsmobile Items

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan.......you must educate thyself on the Rocket history, Grasshopper. There were two two-engined Toros. Grant Piston Rings owner built one for street use. I missed buying it by about 35,000 feet. I'll explain: I was reading Hemmings Motor News while flying somewhere (a vacation a few years ago) and spotted it for sale in the "Multi-Makes" section. As soon as we landed I called and literally missed it by hours. My wife sensed my excitement when I found the ad, and knew how disappointed I was when I made the call. I'm pretty sure it was in Viginia when advertised and when sold, it went to Germany.
The "Terrifying" car was raced for a very short time as it was extremely unpredictable and dangerous. There are pics of it hopping over a guardrail at a drag strip back early in it's short life. I'm pretty sure it was dismantled.
