Default Orphan '68 Z28 engine - VIN - 124378N444372

A lad called today w/ #'s of a loose MO Suffix engine here in Ontario Canada.
He first told me about it years ago and I always ask whenever I bump into him, today was the day he finally called and relayed the #'s to me...see below.

I Googled the Vin and found the car being sold @ the 2004 RM Toronto auction noting correct casting block only...here's the link.

VIN - 124378N444372 - 1968 Z-28
Anyone here have this car in their garage or know of its location as obviously the engine belongs with it.
I'll view the stampings before posting it elsewhere online but in the meantime, what's the consensus here of a fair value for the owner of the original car or to another '68 Z28 owner who can be correct other than Vin stamping?
