Default Re: NCRS Historical Document Services

Pony Express finally arrived in Canada. Received my document for order #236. Mine is shown as Zone 8, dealer 199.

Receiving dealer was Dunlap Chevrolet of Macon, Georgia. This confirms what my research had obtained many years ago. Actual assembly date was March 14, 1969 (Friday) which coincides with my trim tag build date of 03B.

Dunlap Chevrolet was taken over by Youmans Chevrolet in the early 1980’s. In 2005 I talked to one of the original Dunlap family members. He was very gracious in sending me some pictures, dealer stickers and an old license plate. Way back “in the day” they were actually an auto manufacturing company under the name of Dunlap-Huckabee. One of the pictures below is the assembly plant.

This document is a nice piece to have. Thanks Roy.
