The first photo is from 1970 with me on the bike. That second photo is from only half a decade ago. That is my son on my 1970 Raleigh Chopper and my daughter on a 1971 girl's Raleigh Chopper I restored. The girl model choppers are very rare because whenever anyone finds one, they immediately rip them apart and use the parts to restore the boy model Choppers. (The girl bikes are usually in far better condition after 40 years than the boy bikes, so sadly, they usually become donors for parts.) </div></div> I figured that, Steven! Just razzin' ya! BTW; I have an N.O.S. blue 1971 Girls Chopper in my collection that I assembled for the very first time after I purchased it about 6 years ago. Guess I better bring that one to MCACN! BTW; great pics! Bashton MCACN Managing Member |
