Default Re: 68.5 Cobra Jet

She is not a Concours Gold candidate but very few reproduction parts were used or NOS for that matter. Even that battery is a real 69 dated Acid fill that was routed out. I like restoring and detailing original parts. The body was clean with the exception of the 4x4 holes in the fender aprons where it had Belanger fender well headers in the race years. I had to butt weld a section in there but did not disturb the original vins.
Old school CCH-300 Crane Cam. Not what most would use. Lots of duration and not so much lift. Sounds like a big gun though. With the light body, 4.30 gears and Ram Air who needs anything under 2500 rpm lol even though it is all over at about 5500. These long stroke 428's are fun on the street...no need to speed just saw away on the ol gear box and feel the thump in your chest. Perhaps a rocking chair would be fitting.
