Default Questions About Consigning My 1LE @ Scottsdale?

Hi Guys...

I've decided to consign my 1LE to auction @ Scottsdale in January. I talked to both Russo & Steele and BJ. The Russo folks were incredibly nice. They claim to like the car a lot. The folks from BJ don't really wish to answer initial questions, or point me in the right direction (or right person) even if it's from a scribe like me, so who knows? In contrast to the R&S contact, the BJ approach sure didn't leave me warm and fuzzy.

Anyway, the 1LE is appearing in the December issue of Amos Auto Enthusiast. I think it's a very nice car and it presents itself very well (gee...it just turned over 9,000 miles). I have to believe the 1LE should be marketed as a high quality, but entry level collectable, or as a car used to round out a collection. I haven't signed the contract with R&S yet. I don't know if the BJ thing was an anomoly or not? Or is this what I should expect from them?

The last thing is this: I don't know if I should consign with or without reserve. I understand it's likely a crap shoot, but I'd be delighted to see $17,000 for the car.

What do you think about the reserve and consigning with Russo & Steele versus BJ?

Wayne
