Probably because every car in California had to get the new plates. My '55 has its original '63 G-prefix plates and I lucked into a mint take-off pair of U-prefix plates with '67, '68 and '69 stickers for my '67 Camaro on eBay several years ago before the prices went nuts. My Camaro originally had V-prefix plates that were long-gone. |
