I dig the way that thing sits and looks. Is it as nice as it looks in the pic? Why not just drop in a zippy sbc/TH350 and regear the 10-bolt and have fun driving it for a while? You could be cruising correctly quickly. And after you get bored with it in a year or two, first do a 12-bolt, then the bbc/springs, etc., then brakes, etc. Take the incremental approach rather than all at one time. You get to enjoy your ride while eventually getting it the way you ultimately want it.

Just a thought.
