Default Re: Gobi Yenko Deuce finds its way to EBaY

I think the cars with non-original drivetrains (motor, trans, rears) should be called mechanical rebodies. It is great to preserve the vin number and buy in at a price thats affordable with a color thats seldom seen, but at the end of the day all you have is a vin number. In my opinion (and I'm others will disagree) the market becomes very nervous about investing when you're buying a car that is not original. A sponsor here has been trying to sell a rebodied Yenko Camaro for at least a yr, another member has been trying to sell a restamped motor '69 COPO for more than a yr, Reggie Jackson's green ZL1 damn near sold for $150k at BJ 2 yrs back... I could keep going and going.

This is a great car, one with history, but where is its place in this dismal economy?
